Michael Filipek is the grandson of Wint Filipek Sr. He is a USPTA Certified Tennis Professional, and is Head Professional/Junior Development Director at Sutton East Tennis Club in New York City. Born and raised in central Connecticut, Michael has ten years of full time teaching experience. As a player, he was twice the number one ranked junior in New England and was a consistently nationally ranked player. He received a scholarship to attend Indiana University where he captained the tennis team and graduated in 1997. Michael subsequently gained professional tour experience in both the United States and Europe.

Michael is the founder of the Michael Filipek Tennis Academy located at the Hunt Tennis Center on the campus of Choate Rosemary Hall. This year’s academy will take place from June 23rd - August 1st. For more information, please visit www.mftennisacademy.com.
